Between us, my husband is the one who enjoys cooking more. He wanted to try different recipes and sometimes experimenting just to get a whole new taste of them. Last week, he brought home packs of Nestle De'Lite All Purpose Cream (made with Soya) which were give-aways from his office. So he thought of cooking a home-made pasta for our daughter, as well as for the whole household. I will share to you his pasta recipe:
Tuna Penne Pasta
Let your little one taste a bit of Italian
Ingredients:
500 grams Penne pasta
1 Nestle De'Lite All Purpose Cream
1 All Purpose Cream
1/2 can of evaporated milk
3 CannedTuna (in Vegetable Oil)
small amount of salt and pepper
Cheddar cheese
1/2 can of evaporated milk
3 CannedTuna (in Vegetable Oil)
small amount of salt and pepper
Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Cook Penne pasta until al dente. Set aside.
2. In a bowl, mix all the All Purpose Creams mentioned in the ingredients, evaporated milk, and small amount of salt and pepper.
3. Heat the mixture for a short time just to make it warm. Take it off the fire once warmed already. It would serve as the sauce.
4. Drain the cans of tuna and put it with the sauce. Lightly mix (don't mix too much to preserve the shape of the tuna. But if you wish to overmix, you can do so, for easy feeding to toddlers).
5. Grate cheese but seaparate it (mixing cheese with the sauce would shorten shelf time of the food).
*you can adjust the taste of the sauce by adding All Purpose Cream or evaporated milk.
Happy Italian meal to your tots!:)
